While on a trip with the family in Ohio, younger Collins had taken a position alongside her elder sister. Antonietta still a senior at high school but she had a clear idea of the path she wanted. While deciding if Mount Union would be a good fit to her needs, Antonietta went to visit the campus. In the end she fell in love with the school. The university offered her the opportunity to study a major. She graduated from high school and enrolled into media school at the University. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the manager of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a part. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself inspired her. She, in turn, tried to meet the standards he set and to not disappoint him.
